The Healing Adventure is a social, cultural and therapeutic program created by TVOC Network, meant to decrease stigma in vulnerable communities and increase mental health awareness, skills, and resiliency. #MaddestLife

The Healing Adventure program focuses on teaching mental health from a cultural perspective, communication and coping skills, mental resiliency, and strategies for self-growth. It can be adapted to be a  month, half month, week, or full day program in workshops, camps, retreats, conferences, or classroom settings.

Segment 1: Psycho-Education / An Introduction to Mental Health

I am Jamaican, currently living in South Florida. I am a Professor and I run a private practice offering therapy to individuals, couples, and families. I am currently finishing up my PhD in couples and family therapy at Nova. And my research explores the lived experiences of Afro-Caribbean men who are in polyamorous relationships. My aim is to continue research of both men and women in the Caribbean who practice Polyamory or other forms of consensual non-monogamy.

Christina Daniels: Women’s Empowerment Coach


I am the founder of Adorned Heart, based in South Florida.

I am passionate about helping women declutter their emotional and mental baggage, so they can fall in love with themselves. And pursue their dream life, relationship, and career. 

She is devoted to learning about human behavior and its affects on society. She received a B.A. in Psychology and M.A. in Public Policy and is also a Social Studies teacher and article writer. She hopes to use her life and academic experience to empower & heal hearts!



Aishah Seivwright: Co-Director of Black Mental Health Connections


I'm an imaginative and solution-oriented project coordinator, that believes supporting mental health through non-hierarchical, and anti-oppressive organizing is a critical step towards meaningful change towards a better future for us all. I bring a deeply grounded perspective on equity, intersectionality and neurodiversity in my work to destigmatize mental health within the Black community as co-director of Black Mental Health Connections Montreal. I am self-motivated and directed, with strong organizational and management skills. I have the strategic ability to establish objectives and evaluate options, and a high capacity to multi-task in a fast-paced, unpredictable environment.

My practice provides a healing and friendly environment to practice guided meditation in an individual or small group setting. We also provide individual psychotherapy consults and ongoing therapy sessions.



Chad Lambert: Licensed Associate Clinical Psychologist

I am a high school emotional counselor in Kingston, Jamaica and self-care “specialist”. Although I have a special interest in the psychopathology and Treatment of Mood and Anxiety disorders, I remain passionate about educating and advocating the importance of Mental Health Care on a broader scale. Recently, I have also become invested in Mental health in the workplace through facilitating workshops and creating models that maximize the importance of stress management and overall Mental wellness.
